Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU) recently presented Badgerland After School Enrichment Program (BASE) with a donation of $2,500 as part of its annual corporate sponsorship to the organization, according to information released by BASE.
FCCU has supported BASE for many years with corporate sponsorships, event sponsorships and providing volunteers for programs and as board members, the release stated.
According to Executive Director Alicia Norris, BASE will use the sponsorship to support youth during the critical hours when school is out.
“We appreciate the support of FCCU so we can continue to provide quality, affordable programs to kids and families in our community,” Norris was quoted as saying in the release.
BASE currently has 70 registered members, 12 part-time staff members and two full-time staff. The organization operates after school from 3-6 p.m. in the four public elementary schools within the School District of Fort Atkinson and offers a full summer wrap around program. Registration for afterschool and summer programs are open to kids who are at least 7 years old.
BASE relies on donations from the community to keep the program accessible to all youth. For more information about BASE or to donate, visit www.basefortatkinson.org, follow BASE on Facebook and Instagram.
