Wanda K. Goodger, 92, of Fort Atkinson, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 after a short illness.
Wanda was born on May 5, 1931 in Whitewater, daughter of the late Carl and Nettie (Schmidt) Hafemann. She married Arthur Goodger on November 12, 1949 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson.
Wanda worked at St. Paul’s Lutheran School as a cook for 16 years and retired in 1992.
Wanda is survived by her children, Arnold Goodger of Milwaukee, Larry (Peg) Goodger of Madison, David (Christy) Goodger of Whitewater, Daniel (Joyce) Goodger of Lodi and Glory (Jorge) Baker of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Kristin (Matt) Groth, Kara (Josh) Kassulke, Jenni (Brian) Schuessler, Mandi (Ryan) Sawall, Mark (Sammi) Goodger, Emily (Eric) Grimm, Andrew (Tasha) Goodger, Daniella and Samantha Baker and step grandson, Tim Kannard; great grandchildren, Madelyn, Ethan, Simon and Owen Kassulke, Rachel, Emma, Alex, Jacob, Hannah, Lucas and Katie Groth, Benjamin, JulieAnn, Micah, Mabel and Lillie Schuessler, Megan and Kaylin Sawall, Tristan Goodger, Mason, Isaiah and Autumn Goodger, Olivia, Logan, Liam and Harper Grimm and Jeremiah Torres; and brother, Carl (Mary) Hafemann of Fort Atkinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Goodger; brothers, Eugene, William and Ted Hafemann and sisters, Joanna Koeppel and Anita Bradley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church until the time of service. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church.
