The Wisconsin Agricultural Tourism Association (WATA), a nonprofit organization open to ‘ag-tourism’ related businesses in Wisconsin, is excited to invite area residents to explore their updated, user-friendly website to learn more about Wisconsin’s outdoor spaces, many of which offer first-hand experiences in agricultural recreation, entertainment and education.
The website can be found at https://wiagtourism.com.
A ‘search-by-feature’ option allows visitors to the site to find exactly what they’re looking for, whether it is a winery or dining experience for an adult outing, or fairs and outdoor activities for the whole family. Other features include farm-stay vacations or lodgings for family getaways, barn rentals for special events, and more, according to information released by WATA.
The association invites travelers to “Embrace the sunshine, taste the sweet strawberries, cool ice cream and farm-fresh produce. Attend a strawberry festival, a dairy breakfast or an entire dairy farm tour to learn how fresh milk becomes cheese, ice cream and many other delicious, wholesome products.
“Whether you’re a farmer at heart, a Wisconsin foodie on the hunt for delicious products, or just looking for a quiet walk in the presence of beautiful farm vistas, this website offers ‘ag-venturers’ a tool to make planning quick and easy before embarking upon a farm-friendly journey filled with tons of summer family fun.”
According to its website, the Wisconsin Agricultural Tourism Association promotes and preserves the rural lifestyle, fosters partnership opportunities within the ag-tourism community, and provides tools which encourage sustainable economic growth while creating awareness of Wisconsin agriculture.
The organization is based in Marshall, Wis.
