Rummaged something up to sell? Visit Fort Atkinson Online Marketplace

Born out of a what appeared to be a need for residents and individuals with garage and tag sale items to find an interactive place to buy and sell, Fort Atkinson Online has launched Fort Atkinson Online Marketplace: https://www.facebook.com/fortatkinsononlinemarketplace

The new Facebook page offers an opportunity to connect area residents in and around Fort Atkinson who might like to buy and sell used and home-based items.

“The page operates as an online kiosk,” Kim McDarison, publisher of Fort Atkinson Online LLC, said.

Area residents with items to sell can post directly to the site. Posts must be approved by an admin before they become visible on the site.

Some rules apply, she said, adding that while Fort Atkinson Online LLC will use the page to post “Welcome” stories and other information about its business advertisers, the page is not intended to receive commercial and business advertisements from those who are not already customers of Fort Atkinson Online LLC.

Advertising with Fort Atkinson Online is very inexpensive, McDarison said. We hope business advertisers will place regular block ads with us, and then we will place them alongside every story we write on our news site and post to social media sites. The kiosk, she noted, is a package extension for our own advertisers and offers opportunities for tag and garage item sellers to post their items.

The site is a work in progress, McDarison said, adding that she hopes it will build, grow and form over time.

Business and commercial advertisers looking to place ads with Fort Atkinson Online are encouraged to email McDarison at kbrook@ix.netcom.com.
