The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce has named Megan Cooper as its new tourism and downtown director.
According to a recent news release, Cooper brings three years of experience as a Spanish teacher. She recently taught Spanish at the Fort Atkinson Middle School. She also served as a success team leader while obtaining her master’s degree in learning and technology.
The tourism and downtown director is a newly created position at the Jefferson Chamber. In her new role, Cooper will be responsible for initiating the city’s Main Street Program and bringing tourists to Jefferson, the release stated.
“Megan is used to creating lesson plans and starting things from scratch and was an excellent candidate for starting the Main Street Program. We love her enthusiasm and can-do attitude,” newly appointed Jefferson Chamber Executive Director Anna Jensen was quoted as saying in the release.
“I love the Jefferson community and I am looking forward to being a part of it. I am excited to attract visitors to Jefferson and show them what our community has to offer,” Cooper said in the release.
