The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Jefferson County has announced several programs available to the public during November, which has been designated as National Family Caregivers Month, according to information released by the center.
The center will be hosting an elder law and financial advisor presentation on Thursday, Nov. 11. The virtual presentation is available using the Zoom platform and will be offered beginning at 6 p.m. The presentation is an hour and a half long, according to the release.

The presentation will feature elder law attorney Carol Wessels and financial advisor Julie Nachtigal both of whom will be discussing their roles and how their services can benefit a caregiver.
Additionally, on Nov. 18, at 9 a.m., Teepa Snow will give a presentation on “Humor and Caregiving.” To register, call: 920-675-4035 or email HeatherJ@jeffersoncountywi.gov.
According to the release: Snow is one of the world’s leading advocates and educators for individuals living with dementia. She is an occupational therapist with over 40 years of clinical and academic experience.
Snow created the Positive Approach to Care training strategies, which are effective techniques for anyone seeking to optimize care and support for those living with brain changes. Her user-friendly approaches provide guidance and leadership to national efforts to promote the best practices in care.
