Several new businesses have recently joined the Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce, according to several releases submitted for publication by the organization.
Heritage Country Meats, LLC
Late last year, Heritage County Meats, LLC, joined the chamber as a new member. According to the chamber’s release, the company was founded in 2020 after the owners learned from area residents that they were having difficulties in finding facilities where they could have their meat animals processed.
According to the release, some customers found that they had to make an appointment to have their meat processed a year in advance.
The company sought to meet the needs of small producers, the release stated.
As part of the company’s mission, the release noted, it seeks to have its processing facility readily available, allowing small producers and family farmers “to get the most value out of their animals by marketing the meat directory to the customers.”
Additionally, the company offers retail meats, cheeses, sauces, wines, beers, and preserves, among other products.
Heritage County Meats is found at N3705 State Road 89, between Fort Atkinson and Jefferson. The company is open Mondays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
