The Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Piper Mae, a women’s clothing boutique in downtown Fort Atkinson.
The event was held Oct. 16 as part of the store’s grand opening, according to information recently released by the chamber.
According to the release, sisters and co-owners Sarah Jones and Beth Costa said they saw an opportunity in Fort Atkinson after noticing a need for more clothing options.
Looking to offer unique styles at reasonable prices, the sisters said, they opened Piper Mae, 228 South Main Street. The company was founded on April 6.
“We carefully curated items that can be styled in different ways, depending on your personality, while keeping quality and fit in mind,” Jones said within the release.
Visitors to Piper Mae will find tanks, skirts, pants, hats, and the sisters’ own “Hometown Girl” line, which helps build community by supporting quarterly a different charity or nonprofit organization. Currently, 15% of Hometown Girl purchases will benefit BASE (Badgerland After School Enrichment Program), the release stated.
“We’ve put a lot of careful thought into the products we carry and into our store atmosphere. We love this community and look forward to being part of downtown Fort Atkinson,” Jones noted.
Piper Mae is open Thursdays and Fridays, from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Online shopping is available at www.getpipermae.com.
