Food pantry thanks its donors

Letter to the editor:

Thank you so much to the many businesses, groups and individuals who have contributed to the Fort Atkinson Food Pantry this year.  With the rising food prices that we are all dealing with, your generosity is helping us keep food on the shelves.

There are so many people to thank.  We know by listing them, we run the risk of missing someone.  Please know that we are thankful for each and every one of you.

We especially want to thank Jones Dairy Farm, Festival Food, FCCU, Fort Health Care, the Boy Scouts, The Real MacCoys, United Way, Premier Bank, Ten Pin Motors, The Knights of Columbus, the United States Postal Service, Dunkin Donuts, Busy Barns, Kwik Trip, Piggly Wiggly, Pick n Save, Pizza Hut, St Paul Lutheran Church, Kiwanis Club, Cornerstone of Hope,Heritage Meats, Fort Atkinson VFW, Luther and Barrie Elementary Schools, Koshkonong Mounds, DECA UW Whitewater, GFL Environmental, We Energies, Modern Woodmen’s Club, True Storage and all the individuals and organizations who brought in donations.

We also want to thank all the area churches that support us with food and cash donations including the 6 churches that provide donations plus make sure the pantry is staffed with volunteers on the days we are open.  These churches also have locations to leave nonperishable food donations.

They are First Congregational United Church of Christ, First United Methodist Church, Grace United Church, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, and Trinity Lutheran Church ELCA.

We are always accepting donations.  FCCU has donation bins for nonperishable food donations at both branches.  Cash donations are also welcome.  You can drop them off at our facility at 715 Jones Avenue or you can make an online donation at fortatkinsonfoodpantry.org
