Fort Chamber announces several new members joining in June, July

The Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce has shared information about several new members joining the organization in June and July.

Members joining the group in July include: Two Pistols Trading Post, Wicked Smoke BBQ and Catering LLC, Keystone Grill, Jefferson County Head Start, Simple Charm Boutique, and Cash and Olive’s Pub.

Additionally, Katie Myers, an insurance agent with State Farm, joined the group in June.

Two Pistols Trading Post

Two Pistols Trading Post, N2385 County Road N, Fort Atkinson, is named for the the twin children of co-owner Toni Whitley, according to the chamber’s release, and is an antiques store which additionally features items from local farmers market vendors. The store was founded in Texas, and moved to Illinois in 2017. The company next arrived in Fort Atkinson where it has established itself as a family business.

Those interested in visiting the store are encouraged to make an appointment during the following times: Thursdays through Saturdays, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., by calling 920-253-0282. Appointments also may be scheduled through the company’s Facebook page.

Wicked Smoke BBQ and Catering LLC

Fort Atkinson-based Wicked Smoke BBQ and Catering LLC is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Jeff and Julie Stout. The company does not have a storefront or restaurant, but instead, seeks to work with its customers to deliver “exceptional catering and vending services that exceed customer expectation,” the chamber’s news release noted.

The company specializes in barbecue dishes and sides for gatherings, family reunions, weddings, and parties, among other events.

The couple began its culinary journey with a BBQ competition in 2016, “bringing home several awards and more than 25 top ten placements,” according to the release.

The couple opened the catering business in 2023 and purchased a vending trailer this year.

Keystone Grill

Cambridge-based Keystone Grill, 206 W. Main St., is owned and operated by members of the Kemler family.

According to the chamber’s release, the family also has owned and operated area establishments such as Kemler’s Lamp, and Ken and Betty’s.

Keystone Grill, along with a menu including appetizers, barbecue, steak, fish, sandwiches, cheesesteaks, and burgers, offers a banquet room where patrons can rent space for special occasions and events. The restaurant also is the host of Cambridge Ribfest, the release noted.

The restaurant offers an environment that is family friendly.

Hours of operation include Mondays through Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Jefferson County Head Start

According to the chamber’s release, Jefferson County Head Start is “a comprehensive, federally funded preschool program serving children aged 3-5 who live in Jefferson County. Head Start is a free early childhood program available to eligible families.”

The program offers a research-based educational curriculum that is led by licensed early childhood teachers, providing high-quality learning experiences. The program additionally offers daily healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack, as well as vision, hearing, and dental screenings, the release stated.  

“Head Start works closely with families, assisting them in identifying needs and helping them reach their goals. This can include goals related to employment, parenting, housing, and education,” the release read.

Head Start is currently enrolling children for the fall. Program options include full-day preschool programming and full-day 4K classes.

Simple Charm Boutique

Simple Charm Boutique, 100 N. Main St., Fort Atkinson, according to the release, offers jewelry, tumblers, clothing, and accessories that “are always on trend and high quality.”

The store is the vision of owners Kendra Gerber and Danielle Heine, both of whom noted a friendship spanning nearly a decade. The two described themselves as “hard-working moms” who wanted to accommodate women of all ages, shapes, and sizes, and make every woman feel welcome, cute, and comfortable in unique and affordable clothing, the release stated.

Additionally, the release read, the owners value giving back to the community and use their space to host events.

Hours of operation include Mondays, from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursdays, between 5:30 and 8 p.m., Fridays, 1 to 6 p.m., Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cash and Olive’s Pub

Cash and Olive’s Pub, W9535 U.S. Highway 12, Cambridge, according to information released by the chamber, is “a casual and unique pub offering a carefully curated menu.”

The pub is owned by Jen O’Branovich and Courtney Sargent, who, the release noted, are looking to create a “fun, safe, and lighthearted atmosphere with awesome service, elevated food, and generous libations.”

“Cash and Olive’s was created with the vision to provide Cambridge and the surrounding area with a banging spot to vibe out, make memories, and be good to each other,” the owners were quoted as saying in the release.

Hours of operation include Mondays and Tuesdays, “from 3 p.m. to close,” Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 11 a.m. until close. The kitchen is open daily until 9 p.m.

The new pub offers weekly specials, Happy Hour deals, a fish fry on Fridays, and weekend brunches. The dining area can hold up to 50 guests and may be rented for private events.

State Farm agent Katie Myers

Opening her Janesville office in March of 2020, State Farm agent Katie Myers offers a full line of services, and specializes in such insurances as auto, home, life, business, farm, and supplemental health insurance, according to the chamber’s release.

Myers and her team are community-centered, the release stated, and “take great pride in their communities and are committed to giving back and being as involved as possible with community members and organizations.”
