The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Jefferson County has shared information about a screening of the animated film “Grandpa and Lucy.” The Zoom-platform event is scheduled to take place July 30.
According to a recent press release, “Grandpa and Lucy” is a story, which is also available in book form, about a granddaughter, Lucy, who is experiencing dementia in her grandfather.
“Lucy learns how to interact with her grandfather through a fun book, play, and animated movie,” according to the release.
The program also provides a free curriculum for children attending grades 4K through 6. Those interested in the program can learn more by contacting Dementia Care Specialist Heather Janes: 920-674-8734.
The screening, which opens to Zoom visitors at 6:40 p.m., begins with a welcome address which will be delivered at 6:50 p.m. by Kristi Manning, director of partnerships, and Anton Jones, CEO and artistic director, both with Minnesota-based CLIMB Theatre.

The presentation of the animated film will begin at 7 p.m.
A facilitated activity session will begin at 7:30 p.m. The cast and crew will offer a “thank-you and photo session” at 8:10 p.m.
The zoom session will close at 8:30 p.m.
