Happy Halloween from FAO and WhitewaterWise

Editor’s note: WhitewaterWise and Fort Atkinson Online, with help from a poem, titled: “Scaredy Cats,” by Ron “RadioRon” Stelse, wish our readers a happy Halloween.

Scaredy Cats

My eyes, my whiskers,

My tail and nose

The thing about cats

Is that anything goes.

We purr, we hiss

We nap and preen

We play a prominent part

in Halloween.

Ghouls, Ghosts

And Dracula’s bat

What would you do

Without a Halloween cat?

With our blackest of coats

And the greenest of eyes

It’s the chill of October

That makes skeletons rise.

A dog is limited

With it’s pestering bark

But our eyes all glow

In the darkest of dark.

Screams and groans

And a dungeon door squeaks

I promise I’ll be back in fifty-two weeks.
