Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU) has announced that it will be partnering with Jason Vitug, the author of a book titled: “Happy Money Happy Life,” who, in October, will be presenting information in Fort Atkinson about his message of health, wealth and financial wellbeing, as part of a national book tour.
According to information released by FCCU, the author’s book tour will stop in Fort Atkinson on Monday, Oct. 9, at which time Vitug will present his approach to financial education in the Fort Atkinson High School auditorium, 925 Lexington Blvd, between 6 and 8 p.m. Auditorium doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, although registration is required.
As stated in the release, “attendees can look forward to an evening filled with enriching activities. Copies of Happy Money Happy Life will be available for purchase.”
Those interested in attending are encouraged to reserve their seat using the following link: https://link.fortcommunity.com/CUHappy.
“Our mission at FCCU is to help every member be in a better financial position than when we met them,” FCCU Director of Business and Community Development Whitney Townsend was quoted as saying in the release. She added that bringing Vitug to Fort Atkinson was in keeping with that mission.
As stated in the release, “Vitug is an acclaimed author, financial wellness advocate, and a driving force behind the ‘Happy Money movement.’ Through his writings, speaking engagements, and community initiatives, Vitug empowers individuals to make mindful financial decisions that align with their life goals and values.”
Vitug’s visit to Wisconsin, the release noted, is part of his “I want to CU Happy Tour,” described within the release as “an epic nationwide journey with the goal of starting a national conversation on financial wellbeing.”
The tour is supported by credit unions across the country, helping Vitug connect with local communities in all 50 states, the release continued.
Vitug’s book, Happy Money Happy Life, was released earlier this year, and “breaks down Vitug’s multidimensional approach to financial independence,” the release stated.
Emphasized within the book are eight “dimensions of wellness,” including mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, social, occupational, environmental and financial, and their transformative effect on a person’s relationship with money for a happier, healthier life.
