Jefferson Chamber of Commerce 3rd Annual Downtown Wine Walk slated

The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce has announced that its 3rd Annual Downtown Wine Walk will be held Friday, May 19, between  4:30 and 8:30 p.m.

This year, wine walk participants can expect to find at least 24 stops, which is an increase over last year when 16 businesses participated, according to information released by the chamber.

Also new this year, the release stated, are at least five “non-wine” stops included in the walk. Those stopping at non-wine locations will find food, nonalcoholic beverages, and activities.

“There has been an overwhelming amount of excitement for the chamber’s wine walk this year. We can’t wait to continue and grow this wonderful event for many years to come,” Chamber Executive Director Megan Cooper was quoted as saying in the release.

The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is the only authorized seller of wine walk tickets, the release continued, warning that any third-party sale of tickets “may not be legitimate.”

According to the release, three types of tickets are on sale, including a VIP, general admission, and “designated driver” ticket.

VIP tickets include an exclusive wine tasting and pairing with winemaker Rob Lewis and must be purchased in advance of the wine walk. There is a limited quantity of tickets, the release noted. In addition, the release notes that this year’s presenting sponsor is Stable Rock Winery and Distillery. Along with Stable Rock, “gold sponsors” include: Thompson Legal, Sunset Ridge Memory Care, and Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home.
