Jefferson company receives $30,000 grant facilitated through FCCU, Federal Home Loan Bank partnership

Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU), through a news release, announced earlier this month that it has awarded a Jefferson business a $30,000 grant.

According to the release, the funds were obtained through a partnership between FCCU and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.

The “Community First Acceleration Grant,” as stated in the release, is designed to support small businesses as they develop and grow.

The grant was awarded to Muse Studio, which provides tattoo services. The company is found at 111 W. Dodge St., Jefferson.

The release noted that the grant is further designed for “reinforcing the commitment to fostering economic vitality within our community.” The release added: “The … Community First Accelerate Grant provides funding for projects that will make a significant impact on the local economy, job creation, and overall community development.

“Muse Studio plans to use the grant to expand operations.”

“We are thrilled to award this grant to Ashley (Muse) and Muse Studio,” Whitney Townsend, FCCU’s director of business and community development, was quoted as saying in the release.

Also quoted in the release, Muse said: “This funding will help Muse grow and allow us to continue to contribute to the economic development of my community. We are committed to providing valuable services that meet the needs of our beloved customers.”
