The 170th edition of the Jefferson County Fair kicked off its five-day run on Wednesday.
Mother Nature was not a fair-weather friend during the afternoon, but she cleared up her rainy skies in time to hold the popular Badger State Tractor Pull.
Thursday night’s grandstand entertainment is the Badger Truck Pull, starting at 6:30 p.m.
At 8 p.m. Friday night, George Thorogood and the Destroyers will perform, with country music singer Gabby Barrett on stage at 8 p.m. Saturday.
At 2 p.m., the International Demolition Derby will take place.
Acts during the day include the Live Shark Encounter, Pier Pups/Dock Dog Diving show and the Pleasure Valley Pig and Duck Races.
Friday will be Kids’ Day Friday, with children age 12 and under admitted for free until 5 p.m.
Sunday is Armed Services Day, when active military members and veterans may attend free of charge all day.
Fair general admission is $12 at the gate or $8 for senior citizens and children. Parking is free.
