Jesse L. Congdon, 43, of Fort Atkinson, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Jesse was born on March 27, 1981, in Elkhorn to Vernon and Sharon (Krause) Congdon.
A proud graduate of Fort Atkinson High School, class of 2000, Jesse spent many fulfilling years working at Opportunities Inc., where his dedication was as unwavering as his humor. His infectious humor and friendly nature made him a beloved figure within the organization.
Jesse was renowned for his passion for life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid lover of music and found great joy in marching in parades, brandishing the American flag with pride. Carnivals were a particular delight for Jesse; the vibrant colors, laughter, and excitement perfectly echoed his own zestful personality.
Indeed, Jesse was the embodiment of joy. His legacy of laughter and love for community will continue to resonate, ensuring that his memory—just like his favorite parades—marches on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jesse is survived by his mother, Sharon; uncles, Roger (Diane) Krause and Ronald (Monica) Krause; Aunt, Phyllis Kruse; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends, Eric (Gail) Hein, Lee Maher, Jeremy Widish and John Richardt. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Congdon; uncles, Gene and Dale Krause and aunt, Karen Krause.
No service will be held at this time.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
