Judy Marjorie Brom, 72, of Fort Atkinson passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Lake Mills Health Services. Judy was born on March 11, 1952 in Caribou, Maine to Edward and Marjorie (Rossingol) Holmes. She graduated from Marshfield High School in South Berwick, Maine. Judy met Randy Brom during high school and later, they wed on February 10, 1973 in South Berwick, Maine. Together they had three children. She loved watching cooking shows and Dancing with the Stars. Judy also enjoyed cooking and teased her children that they wouldn’t steal her recipes. She also enjoyed a New England boiled dinner, and shells and tomato sauce.
Judy is survived by her husband, Randy; children, Jason Brom, Becky Brom, Beau (Jessica Medrano) Brom; grandchildren, Taylor Grant, Brianna Brom, Isabella Maertz, Arrian Brom, Jocelynn Brom, Anavae Brom; siblings, Brenda (Robert) Swanson, William (Nora) Holmes; Willy, her dog; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by parents, Edward and Marjorie Holmes; siblings, Carroll Holmes, Phoebe Stone; and dear sister, Shirley Whitney.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Lake Mills Health Services and Brighton Hospice staff for their exceptional care for Judy. Donations can be made in Judy’s name to the Jefferson County Humane Society.
A memorial service will take place at 11AM on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI 53538. A visitation will take place from 10AM until the time of service. Online condolences can be made at www.nitardyfuneralhome.com.
