According to information released by the league, opportunities for support will be offered Tuesday, Sept. 19, at each of several locations:

• Whitewater, at the Irvin L. Young Memorial Library, 431 W. Center St., between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater University Center, Table A, 190 Hamilton Green Way, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and the Whitewater City Market, 301 W. Whitewater St., between 4 and 7 p.m.
• Delavan, at the Aram Public Library, 404 E. Walworth Ave, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
According to the release, National Voter Registration Day was founded in 2012 with the purpose of creating a day to bring national focus on registering Americans to exercise their right to vote.
As stated in the release, according to U.S. Census data from 2020, 1 in 4 eligible Americans are not registered to vote. Each year, millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, don’t update their registration or aren’t sure how to register. National Voter Registration Day provides an opportunity to make sure everyone who is eligible has the ability to vote.
