I would like to publicly thank Heart of the City for presenting me with its Lou Ehinger Big Heart Award. Thank you, Amy Lutzke, for your generous nomination. Lou is one of my SHEroes. I want to grow up to be like her … a quiet pot-stirrer. I know sometimes I am not so quiet, but I do stir the pot occasionally.
The best kind of recognition is from those that share a spirit of the heart. Our concerns for the big pictures and how they relate to the small pictures, especially for our community, is a value I treasure. To be recognized by Heart of the City is an honor.
Heart of the City diligently works to welcome everyone and is not afraid to tackle tough issues and civil discussions about them. I pledge to continue to be an ambassador for the common goal we share, loving and caring about where we live.
