Mary Esther (Goyer) Baskys of Fort Atkinson, WI, passed away February 18, 2023 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
She was born March 26, 1937 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Leo and Helen Goyer. She graduated from Maria High School and Fox Business College. She was married to George Baskys on June 7, 1958 until his death on September 11, 2019, 61 years later.
They lived in Streamwood, IL until moving to Fort Atkinson in 1976 to be partners in the Fort Coast to Coast Hardware store with her brother Tom Goyer and his wife, Phyllis. After leaving the hardware store, she worked at the Walmart in Whitewater, retiring 25 years later.
She is survived by her brother John (Rose) Goyer and sister, Leona (Ron) Rudolph and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joann Goyer and brother, Tom Goyer.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
