Members of Modern Woodmen of America’s Junior Club 5005-1 recently contributed $538.72 worth of food to the Fort Atkinson Food Pantry.
According to information released by the club, “Modern Woodmen of America is a fraternal financial company that gives back to its members and their communities.”
As a service project, the Watertown-based junior club purchased the food at the Pick ’n Save in Wales. Discounts and sales at the store enabled the club to purchase an extra $100 worth of food for the pantry, the release stated.
Junior Club leader Amy Spangler, Johnson Creek, accompanied members Abel and Adrian Wallace to the store to shop for the food. The brothers are from Summit.
They stocked up on baked beans, vegetable beef soup, cornflakes, canned tuna, Hamburger Helper and Tuna Helper, the release noted.
Persons interested in joining this service club especially for youth may contact Spangler at 920-988-3812.
