Purdy holds ‘Spring Break Drive-thru’

For two hours on Saturday morning, Purdy Elementary School in Fort Atkinson held a free “Spring Break Drive-thru” for pupils and their families.

School District of Fort Atkinson students have no school in celebration of spring break between March 29 and April 2. March 26, scheduled as a professional development day for staff, also is a day without classes for students.

Distributed to families in their vehicles were goodie bags, each with a craft and special treats.

Among those on hand for the event was “Pork Chop,” Jones Dairy Farm’s mascot.

The Purdy Parent-Teacher Organization extended a special thanks to its community partners: Blodgett Garden Center, Culver’s, the Dwight Foster Public Library, the Fort Atkinson Parks & Recreation Department, the Fort Atkinson Police Department and DARE Program, Fort HealthCare and Jones Market.
