The UW-Whitewater Rock County Campus will be holding a day of tours and information-sharing, Monday, Feb. 6.
According to a news release, members of the public, including University of Wisconsin-Whitewater alums, community members and leaders will join together for a day of tours of the UW-Whitewater Rock County Campus, 2909 Kellogg Ave., Janesville.
Opportunities to listen to students and faculty share information about their research will also be available. Participants will be able to connect with alums, learn about the UW-Whitewater Foundation Board from its members, and engage with community and university leaders.
All members of the public are welcome, the release stated.
“We are so excited to welcome alums and community members to campus. It’s been an eventful few years on campus with exciting new programs on the horizon, including nursing, adult bachelor’s degree completion, and even NJCAA sports opportunities. We can’t wait to connect with current and former faculty and fellow students,” Dean Tricia Clasen was quoted as saying in the release.
As stated in the release, participants will have opportunities to learn about U Rock’s pending National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) membership and its impact on students and the community, along with an “unrivaled relationship with Edgewood College and UW-Whitewater, allowing Rock County students to earn a nursing degree,” which will be offered at the Janesville-based campus.
Additionally, attendees will be able to explore pathways in engineering and Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree completion programs.
Complimentary appetizers will be provided courtesy of sponsorship from UW-Whitewater Foundation Board member Sue VanGalder, the release noted.
