The 34th Fort Atkinson Community Christmas Dinner will be held Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1660 Endl Blvd., Fort Atkinson.
According to event organizers, the dinner is free and available to any member of the community who may be alone for Christmas or unable to prepare a Christmas meal.
The family-style meal is served in the gym. The meal begins with appetizers served at 11 a.m., followed by a turkey and ham dinner, which is served at noon.

Volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed for the Community Christmas Dinner to help with food preparations on Saturday, Dec. 24, and Sunday, Dec. 25, according to information released by the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, which organizes the event.
On Saturday, volunteers will be involved with food preparation, while on Sunday, volunteers are needed for a variety of activities, including final food prep, dining room service and table assistance, packaging food for deliveries, running from the kitchen to the dining room, which will be set up in the school gym, and as members of the delivery crews to take dinners to those who can’t attend in person. Volunteers also are needed to help clean up at the end of the event.
