The Barrie Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has received a $1,000 donation from the “Koshkonong Kruzers,” an area ATV/UTV club, according to information released by the school’s PTO President Ashley Barr.
A goal of the club is to encourage and support community recreational ATV/UTV use, according to the release.
“The club is committed to working hard to give back to the community as much as possible,” the release stated, noting that “(Its) first donation was to the Barrie Elementary PTO to help raise funds for new playground equipment.”
According to the release, the school removed a piece of playground equipment last year and has been seeking funds for replacement equipment beginning with this school year.
The school is looking to raise an additional $5,000 by 2024 to offset the cost of new playground equipment, the release continued.
Within the release, Barr, extended “sincerest thanks” to the Koshkonong Kruzers for the club’s donation and support of Barrie Elementary.
According to the release, the club anticipates offering further support to the community, noting a desire to work collaboratively through the Schoepen Foundation and local businesses.
