‘Koshkonong Kruzers’ ATV club joins Fort Chamber

The Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that the “Koshkonong Kruzers,” an ATV/UTV club, based in the town of Koshkonong, has joined the Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce.

According to information released by the chamber, the Koshkonong Kruzers have joined the chamber to help facilitate stronger partnerships and new opportunities to collaborate with other businesses and organizations, and promote responsible ATV use in the community.

The club was formed last August in response to and in favor of ATV/UTV use on town of Koshkonong-owned roads.

As reported by Fort Atkinson Online, last year, the community’s residents and town board of supervisors discussed and deliberated about whether to open town roads for ATV/UTV use.  The measure was approved for the majority of the town’s roads with a trial period enacted for one year. Upon approval of the action, the group, as stipulated within the ordinance, will be responsible for maintaining signage that pertains to ATV/UTV operation within the town.

Fundraising for signage is a club goal, the chamber’s release noted.

According to the release, the group has set a new goal of lobbying to begin a process which will open roads for ATV/UTV use in Fort Atkinson.

The release stated: “The Koshkonong Kruzers, while a newer club, has created an established presence in our city. The club raises funds through membership dues, apparel sales, and donations.  They have donated to the Barrie School Parent Teacher Organization for new playground equipment, as well as to the Randy Schopen Foundation. The Kruzers are always seeking new charitable projects to support. They also look forward to getting involved in the community by promoting and frequenting local businesses that support the sport and help inform those who want to learn more about ATV/UTV use, benefits, and safety.”
