Lawrence R. Taylor Sr., 80, of Fort Atkinson, formerly of Janesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
Lawrence was born on September 26, 1942 in Belvidere City, IL, son of the late Franklin and Bernice (Knutson) Taylor.
After school, he joined the United State Air Force and honorably served his country from 1960 to 1963. On January 31, 1964 he married the love of his life Carol Stokes.
Lawrence is survived by his sons, Kurtis (Loraine) Taylor of Fort Atkinson, Shannon (Jackie) Taylor of Janesville, Scott (Jennifer) Taylor of Baraboo and Lawrence (Gale) Taylor Jr. of Beloit; brothers, Al Taylor and Ken (Mary) Taylor and sister, Donna Keeney.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, William and Carol Taylor and brother-in-law, William Keeney.
Following his wishes, no formal service will be held.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
