Lillian A. Baker

Lillian A. Baker, 87, of Fort Atkinson passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023 at Jefferson Memory Care in Jefferson.

Lillian was born September 21, 1936, in Fort Atkinson, WI, to August and Frieda (Gshwandtner) Lehmann. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1955. On June 14, 1956 she married her high school sweetheart, John Baker. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2014.

Lillian and John owned and operated Baker Auto Sales for many years, and then U-Serve U-Save service station until their retirement. Several years were then spent traveling in their RV and living in Fort Myers, FL.

Lillian enjoyed playing board games and card games, especially solitaire, euchre, and scrabble. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, and family gatherings. She was devoted to her family. She was a member of Living Savior Lutheran Church.

Lillian is survived by her sons Mike (Lillian) Baker and Tim Baker, and daughter Patty (Tom) Sehnert, all of Fort Atkinson. Lillian’s grandchildren include Evan and Troy (Trisha) Hartman, Shari (Billy) Conkle, Tom and Dan Elliott, Pat (Cathy) and Paul (Lavonne) Wegner, and Penny (Brad) Strohbusch. Lillian has 10 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Her siblings are John (Marion) Lehmann of Fort Atkinson and Fred (Karen) Lehmann of Delavan, sister-in-law Joyce Lehmann of Fort Atkinson and brother-in-law Ron Hall of Fort Atkinson. Lillian also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband John, her parents, her brother Augie Lehmann, sister Mary Hall, and daughter-in-law Rose Baker.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 6:00 p.m. at Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson, with Pastor Dave Emmrich officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services, starting at 4 p.m.

The family would like to thank Jefferson Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice for the loving care they showed our mother.
