Sharon A. Krueger, 79 of Fort Atkinson passed away Friday November 24, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to the late Adeline J. and Edmund C. Liebert in Green Bay on May 17, 1944. One of six children, Sharon attended and graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1962.
She met the love of her life Douglas Krueger on Valentines Day 1965. They were married on July 24, 1965. Enjoying over 50 years of marriage before his passing in 2016.
Over the years She worked on the family farm just outside of Fort Atkinson, at F.J. Pechman Studio, Green Bay Press Gazette, Farming magazine, Joyce’s Southgate Floral and retired from Nasco. She was an avid Packers, Brewers, Badgers and NASCAR fan. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her dear grandsons.
Sharon is survived by her son, Darrin (Trudy) Krueger of Jefferson; daughter-in-law, Dawn Krueger of Fort Atkinson; 2 grandsons, Darrick and Dalton Krueger of Jefferson; granddaughter, Lisa Smith of Elkhorn; 2 step grandsons, Klint Flowers of Las Vegas and Michael O’Daniel of Fort Atkinson; brother, Kenneth (Lynn) Liebert; sister, Susie Liebert and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas; her dear son, Daniel; granddaughter, Zoe Krueger; her parents, Adeline and Edmund Liebert; sisters, Beverly Volk, Barbara Hamlett, Shirley Krauter and Jeanne Rose.
Per Sharon’s wishes there will be no formal service. The family will have a celebration of life for Doug and Sharon at a later date.
The family would like to thank Sunset Ridge Assisted living in Jefferson and Rainbow Hospice for the care and compassion for Sharon and her family.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
