Edward David Gang Sr. age 90, of Fort Atkinson, peacefully passed away Wednesday December 13, 2023 at Reena Senior Living, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
Edward was born on May 16, 1933, in Rock Island, Illinois. Son of the late Charles Felix Gang and Margret Ruth (Turner). He married Elizabeth (Betty) Mary (Mueck) on July 5th, 1952, together they had 10 children. She proceeded him in death on February 25, 2010.
Edward is survived by his children, Edward David Jr. of Rock Island, Ill. Charles (Kathy) of Encinitas Ca. Michael (Ruth Ann) of Minocqua, John (Angie) of Winter, Karen (Charles Tyne) of Fort Atkinson, Patrick (Angela) of Spring Hill Fl, Christopher (Barbara) of Lake Delton, Mark (Kim) of Harshaw, 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his brothers, John Gilmore and Charles (Joan) Gang and sister, Mary (Jessie) Atkins, two sons Paul and James and one grandchild Natalie Mary.
Edward was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Edward retired as the Plant Operations Manager at Countryside Home in Jefferson. He was a Boy Scout Leader for many years for Troop 134 & 130. He enjoyed the adventures and spending time with his sons during his scouting days. He enjoyed planning and taking the family on out of state vacations, especially to the Black Hills of South Dakota. He was an avid coin collector.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 324 East North Street, Jefferson, WI, from 10-11am. A mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 11am. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to Reena Senior Living of Fort Atkinson, Alden Estates of Jefferson, and Rainbow Hospice of Johnson Creek for their care and compassion to our dad.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for any donations to be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson or to Rainbow Hospice of Johnson Creek.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
