Donald R. Pfeifer, 85, of Fort Atkinson, died on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.
Don was born on February 3, 1938 in Fort Atkinson, son of the late Alvin and Margaret (Lemke) Pfeifer. On August 30, 1958 he married Beverly Huber at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson.
Don worked at Jefferson County Farm Co. for 50+ years. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering with small engines, farming, playing cards, polka dancing and watching the Packers, but what he loved the most was spending time with his family.
Don is survived by his sons, Ricky (Teri) Pfeifer and Randy (Wendy) Pfeifer; grandchildren, Jessica Pfeifer, Jennifer Pfeifer, Robert Wilkenson, Thomas Wilkenson, Samantha (Chris) LaMuro and Nathanial (Nicole) Pfeifer; great grandchildren, Olivia LaMuro, Taylor, Mason and Liam Wilkenson, Carson Pfeifer, Jackson LaMuro and Heyden and Payton Pfeifer; sister, Carol (Bill) Hoffmann and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Pfeifer; brothers, Harvey (Lorraine) Pfeifer, Gerald (Joanne) Pfeifer and Merlin (Laurel) Pfeifer and a nephew, Thomas Pfeifer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the church until the time of service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
