Editor’s note: As a matter of clarification, the school district notes that the middle school honor roll is calculated from ‘Quarter 2’ grades.
The School District of Fort Atkinson has released the names of Fort Atkinson Middle School students placed on the district’s 2023-24 first semester honor roll.
Students placed on the honor roll have achieved academic excellence represented in three levels: “Gold,” “Silver” and “Honors.” Students within the Gold level have achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 3.85 or higher; those within the Silver level have achieved a GPA between 3.5 and 3.84, and those earning a designation of Honors have achieved a GPA of between 3.0 and 3.49.
Additionally, information released by the middle school staff states, “students may not have earned an unsatisfactory or failing grade to be eligible for the honor roll.”
Further, according to the release, students who have raised their grade point average by 0.25 or more are given the “A.I.M. Award.”
Students earning “All Star” and “Perfect Attendance” recognition must have “no infractions for Semester 1,” and can be “absent 0.5 days or less for Semester 1,” respectively, the release stated.
