Joan Fitzgerald, candidate for Wisconsin State Assembly, offers statement on new District 46 lines

Editor’s note: The following statement has been submitted for publication by Joan Fitzgerald. The candidate, who is running in Assembly District 46, serves currently as a Jefferson County Board supervisor.

Today, Gov. Tony Evers signed into law new legislative maps for Wisconsin.

The candidate has issued the following statement:

“I am excited about running for Assembly in the new District 46, which Governor Evers signed into law today as part of Wisconsin’s new legislative maps. The District includes my hometown of Fort Atkinson and encompasses Cambridge, Cottage Grove, Lake Mills, Waterloo, and Marshall. The District includes communities I know well and where I have many friends and supporters. What a fantastic opportunity to serve an area in which I have deep roots, strong networks, and outstanding connections.”

    Please make yourself more well known in Marshall and Waterloo. Jen Quinby is a terrible mayor and would be a disservice as a state assembly representative.
