Virtual book clubs explore dementia, open to public

Book clubs are for caregivers, family, friends, neighbors, professionals, general public, those living with dementia and anyone who is wanting to gain more knowledge on dementia and creating moments of joy in your life. These programs are occurring virtually. Come and learn, gain support, and have engaging conversation with those with similar experiences. No residence necessary to participate in the book clubs.

Dane County is offering a book club starting June 2 with the book “Creating Moments of Joy” by Jolene Brackey. The club is held Wednesdays, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. To register, call Amy Warner: 608-240-7443, or by email: warner.amy@countyofdane.com. Please register by May 27. 

Jefferson, La Crosse, and Walworth Counties are offering a book club starting Thursday, June 3, with the book “Mom’s Gone Missing” by Susan Marshall. The club is held June 3, 10, 17, 24, and July 1, 8 and 15. To register, call 920-675-4035, or by email: heatherj@jeffersoncountywi.gov. Please register by May 26. 

Jefferson and La Crosse Counties are offering a book club starting July 12 with the book “Creating Moments of Joy” by Jolene Brackey. The club is held Mondays, July 12 through Aug. 16. To register, please call 608-785-5700, or by email: kflock@lacrossecounty.org. Please register by July 6.
