“Sue has been a tremendous asset to the foundation. Her strong connections in the community have helped the foundation navigate needs and actively seek out opportunities. We wish Sue our sincere congratulations on her retirement. It has truly been a pleasure working with her,” foundation Chairman Sally Koehler was quoted as saying in the release.
“For over 50 years,” the release continued, “the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation has worked with generous donors to pool charitable resources to make a difference in the Fort Atkinson community. Run by a volunteer five-member board of directors, the foundation continues to benefit from the forward-thinking generosity of the community it serves.”
Within the release, Hartwick was quoted as saying: “I have been so lucky to have a job that truly makes a difference in a community I love. I love coming to work every day to hear about new projects being proposed, to meet community members who have a passion for something, and to learn new ideas about making Fort Atkinson better. It’s been a dream job.”
