ORBIS Corporation, a worldwide organization that manufactures reusable packaging, with headquarters in Ocomonowoc, recently presented Rainbow Community Care with a donation of $1,000.
The presentation was made in August.
The local palliative and guided care organization serves rural southern Wisconsin.
Proceeds donated to Rainbow Community Care were achieved in July through the sale of brats and burgers at a fundraising stand.
The stand, according to information released by the hospice care organization, was operated on Saturday, July 20, by representative of ORBIS Corporation at Pernat’s, a butcher and meat processing shop in Johnson Creek.
Last month, representatives of ORBIS Corporation arrived at the Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek to present the donation.
“On behalf of Rainbow Community Care, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to ORBIS Corporation for their incredible support. The brat stand fundraiser was a tremendous success and we greatly appreciate their dedication to organizing this event as well as the generosity of the folks who stopped by to buy the delicious food. It’s efforts like these that help us continue our mission to serve and uplift our community,” Carol Brown, Rainbow president and CEO, was quoted as saying in the release.
Samantha Goetz, Orbis Corporation’s director of marketing communication, also commenting within the release, said: “ORBIS Corporation strives to make a positive difference in communities in which we operate by supporting organizations, agencies, and projects that benefit our people in a variety of ways. We strongly believe that our business should play a role in the health and welfare of society. ORBIS employees are committed to our community partners and are proud to give back.”
