It is with deep sadness to announce the sudden, unexpected passing of Anthony Honoré, on October 16, 2024, at the age of 65.
Anthony was born to Jesse and Wilton Honoré on November 18, 1958, in California. As the 4th youngest of 5 brothers, he grew up in a neighborhood filled with relatives, young and old, living close to one another, so there was plenty of storytelling, joking, and delicious food going around.
Anthony was a devout Catholic who performed his role as an alter boy with great pride, excelled at sports in high school, and taught himself Spanish. After leaving the house for adulthood, he met and married Michelle DePrey, with whom he had two beautiful children in Daniel Joseph and Joanna Marie, and all moved out to Wisconsin together. Anthony and Michelle ultimately separated, but both met and married their forever partners in Wisconsin.
It was during this time as a salesman at Hamilton / Avnet that he was able to find the true partner and love of his life, Laura Steinfeld. She knew he was someone special the day they met. Together they founded many businesses, including Lifestyles Real Estate, which helped find so many people homes while building deep roots in the community. They shared 35 years of being a cornerstone to many.
Anthony earned his associate’s degree in finance, had many credentials and certifications including real estate and insurance licenses, financial advising, and hazmat handling when he pursued a career on the road later in life, seeing all of America’s countryside firsthand. He proudly served as a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years, and was honored with a community award in helping apprehend a bank robber.
Anthony had a love of football, doing projects, corny dad jokes, Corvettes and cooking, but most of all he loved his family. He had a very sharp mind that was always eagerly learning, and an instant kindness and patience with anyone he met. He had the respect of his colleagues and friends, and especially his wife and children.
Anthony is survived by his mother, Jesse; his brothers, Richard, Gerald, Fred and Edmond; his wife, Laura; his children, Daniel and Joanna, and many grandchildren.
A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church until the time of the service. A luncheon will follow Mass.
Any memorials in his honor can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, as it was his love and pride in his grandchildren that made him smile the most.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
