The Dwight Foster Public Library has announced it will be presenting two exhibits, each featuring painted artwork, in September.
According to information recently released by the library: A collection of watercolor paintings by local artist Thomas Jewell will be featured Sept. 4 to 16.
The paintings depict landscape scenes from across America. The works displayed will be available for sale from the artist during a reception, which will be held in the Jones Gallery on the library’s second floor, Tuesday, Sept. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A second exhibit, featuring pieces created by the students of Jewell who participate in an adult painting class at the Fort Atkinson Club, will begin Monday, Sept. 20, and remain available for viewing until Thursday Sept. 30.
The class will host a reception on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., again in the Jones Gallery on the second floor of the library.
The Jones Gallery is accessible during all library business hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
