The League of Women Voters-Whitewater Area has announced that it will once again be part of a national effort to strengthen democracy on National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday Sept. 28.
During the day, the league will host three voter registration tables. Times and locations include:
• Dwight Foster Public Library, 209 Merchants Avenue, Fort Atkinson, from 1-3 p.m.
• Irvin L. Young Memorial Library, 431 W. Center Street, Whitewater, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Whitewater City Market at the Train Depot, 301 W. Whitewater Street, Whitewater, from 4-7 p.m.
League members and volunteers will be on hand at each location to distribute voting informational materials, and registration and absentee ballot request forms as needed. National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan nationwide event seeking to increase civic participation by encouraging Americans to register to vote, as well as promoting opportunities for all eligible voters to vote.
