‘The Little Mermaid’ cast to host ‘tea party’ at high school

The Fort Atkinson High School Performing Arts department will be hosting a tea party in advance of its upcoming fall musical: “The Little Mermaid.”

The tea party is planned for Sunday, Nov. 14, between 1 and 2 p.m., according to information released by the department. 

Cast members from the upcoming high school performance will be on hand to greet and visit with families and youngsters, and share a cup of “tea,” which will actually be juice, snacks and cupcakes.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite little mermaid costumes, according to the release.  

The event will take place in the commons area at the Fort Atkinson High School. 

Many of the show’s leading characters will be hosting the event, including: “Ariel,” “Sebastian,” “Flounder,” “Prince Eric,” and others, the release stated.

Admission is $5 per person and will include the following: 

• An “Under the Sea” themed event, during which time juice, cupcakes and snacks will be served by members of the high school cast, crew, and parent volunteers. 

• Photo opportunities with cast members. 

• A card to collect autographs from cast members. 

• A ticket table to purchase tickets for the fall musical: “The Little Mermaid.”

To purchase tickets for the tea party, visit the Fort Atkinson Performing Arts website at fortatkinsonmusic.org.  Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to support the Fort Atkinson High School musical.

Tickets also are available for the performance at the above website. Show dates are: Thursday, Nov. 18, Friday, Nov. 18, and Saturday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 21, at 1:30 p.m.

Admission to the performance is $16 per person.
