The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Jefferson County has announced that it will be hosting the Glacial River Memory Café.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Jefferson Public Library, 321 S. Main St., Jefferson, Monday, Jan. 10, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Those choosing to attend will not be obligated to stay for the full 90-minute program, and those who have never attended a Memory Cafe, but feel they can benefit from its programming, are encouraged to participate, according to information released by the organization.
During the event, participants will join in a discussion about board games, learn about their history and play games. Participants are invited to bring their own games to the event and explore new games.
A memory café is an informal social gathering for those living with early to mid-stage memory loss and their care partner, the release stated.
