Raising poultry during an avian flu outbreak webinar offered Monday

“Raising Pastured Poultry During an Avian Flu Outbreak” is the title and subject of a webinar offered Monday, Feb. 28, at 4 p.m.

According to information suppled on the Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association webpage, the webinar will feature Mike Badger, from the American Pastured Poultry Producers Association as he addresses questions and concerns about raising pastured poultry during a “highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak.”

Associated risks and and advantages of the “pastured model,” which the website states, “presents significantly less risk than in intensely confined commercial models,” will be discussed.

Registration is required. Those interested may visit the website: https://wisconsinlandwater.org/conservation-training/raising-pastured-poultry-during-an-avian-flu-outbreak-webinar.
