A deadline to submit Community Grant applications is March 15, according to information released by the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation.
Applications received by the deadline will be considered at the Foundation’s April board of directors meeting.
Should this deadline be missed, the next opportunity to submit an application will be by June 15, with those applications coming under consideration by the board during its July meeting, according to the release.
The Fort Atkinson Community Foundation’s Community Grants program helps to fund projects focused on improving the general quality of life in Fort Atkinson, the release noted.
The foundation looks for creative or innovative projects and programs that address community needs. In the past, the foundation has awarded grants in program areas such as social services, the arts, education, beautification, recreation, and community development, the release continued.
Community Grants will usually be awarded only for the accomplishment of a defined project within a specified time, and not for ongoing operations.
