A formal dress resale fundraiser will be held by the Jefferson County Literacy Council, according to a recent news release.
The event will be held Saturday, March 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cinderella’s Closet, located in the Jefferson Area Business Center, 218 S. Wisconsin Dr., Jefferson.
According to the release, a portion from each sale will be donated to The Jefferson County Literacy Council (JCLC).
“This is a great opportunity to find a prom dress, special occasion dress, homecoming dress or just something fun for your closet at a discounted rate while helping out the Literacy Council,” the release stated.
Those interested in donating a dress for resale at the event are asked to drop the dress off at the Literacy Council office, 218 S. Wisconsin Dr., Suite 9, Jefferson.
Dresses will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, March 14, through Friday, March 18, and on Wednesday, March 16, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. No dresses will be accepted after 5 p.m. on Friday.
“Please, only donate clean dresses in good condition,” the release noted, adding that unsold dresses must be picked up after the sale between 3 and 5 p.m. on Saturday. Unsold dresses may also be donated to St. Coletta’s of Wisconsin to be used for the organization’s formal event.
“JCLC will manage this donation for you,” the release continued.
During the sale, Cinderella’s Closet will provide designated spaces to try dresses on. All sales are final and all dresses will be sold as is. Check and cash are preferred, but credit cards can also be used, the release continued.
