Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU) has announce that Deanna Ugalde, a credit resolution specialist, has earned the designation of certified credit union financial counselor.
According to the release, the certification requires participants to complete the Financial Counseling Certification Program offered by the Credit Union National Association. The program involves “self-study, online learning and rigorous testing with the aim to identify financial challenges and provide effective intervention not typically offered by for-profit financial institutions.”
Individuals earning the designation are required to renew their certification every three years, the release stated.
