Athletes who have been recruited by colleges to participate in athletic programs next school year participated in a “signing celebration,” officials from the School District of Fort Atkinson have announced.
The celebration was held in the high school auditorium Tuesday, April 12.
According to information released by the district, “Seniors who will be participating in athletics at the college level will be brought on stage with their current coach and family members to ‘sign’ for their intent to play.”
Students participating in the signing event included:
• Alex Theriault, who will be playing softball at UW-Stevens-Point
• Adyn Theriault, who will be participating in track at UW-Stevens-Point
• Brie Klingbeil, who will be playing soccer at Bemidji State University
• Cade Cosson, who will be playing football at Knox College
• Carson Baker, who will be playing basketball at Concordia University of Wisconsin
• Drew Evans, who will be playing football at UW-Madison
• Jada Zorn, who will be participating in cross country/track and field at Montana State University
• Jade Van Wormer, who will be playing soccer at Edgewood College
• Lance Schultz, who will be playing football at Cornell College
• Nolan Zachgo, who will be participating in track and field at UW-Stout
• Sophie Chapman, who will be participating in cross country/track and field at UW-La Crosse
• Taylor Marquart, who will be playing basketball at Angelina College
