It’s in the works! Get ready for ‘What’s Up? with Michael Clish’

Veteran newsman Michael Clish, formerly of WFAW/WSJY radio in Fort Atkinson, will be the contributing host of “What’s Up? with Michael Clish.” The YouTube platform videotaped show will be a regular installment on FortAtkinsonOnline.com.

Michael met recently with Fort Atkinson Online LLC to brainstorm ideas for the show.  Videotaping of the first episode will take place in the very near future at Good2Go, a takeout restaurant located in the heart of the Fort Atkinson downtown area.

Michael’s first guest will be Chris Spangler, a 40-plus year veteran of local news and former longtime managing editor of the Daily Jefferson County Union. The two will take a look at local journalism, from the perspective of where it’s been and where it’s going, reminisce and talk, from their perspectives, about topics that affect and define the community, Michael said.

While the show is still evolving, Michael said he envisions taping future episodes in various locations throughout town, highlighting area attractions, while tackling a variety of informative and entertaining subjects.

Beyond that, he said: “It will be fun!”

The voice of Michael Clish has filled the local airwaves for 25 years. Over the course of his career, he has covered local politics and community life in and around Fort Atkinson.

Michael resigned from his radio job last fall.

While the new show will be produced using a format that is different from radio, Michael said, discussing local issues, in local places, with local people will continue to be his focus.

Nice to hear from Michael Clish again. I would like to continue to hear regularly from Dr. Richard Haven….who was a regular guest on Michael’s radio show.

I am enjoying the articles that have been posted on fortatkindononline.com. So happy to see Chris Spangler and Mike Clish have joined into your project. Would it be possible to add obituaries?
It’s nice to have up to date information on Fort instead of days later.
    Thank you.
