Some 300 students attended this year’s Fort Atkinson High School junior prom. The class of 2023 chose as its theme: “When in Rome.” The event, held Saturday, began with the grand march, which, this year, returned to a more traditional format with family members gathering in the school’s auditorium looking for photo ops. The march concluded with the presentation of the Class of 2023 Prom Court and the crowning of the king and queen. The activity was followed by a dance in the gym. While Saturday evening’s forecast threatened severe weather, and a tornado warning was in effect around 6:30 p.m., the gala event was unaffected.
