Beekeeping is topic at Dwight Foster Public Library

A presentation about beekeeping will be held at the Dwight Foster Public Library. 

According to a recent news release, the presentation, which is sponsored by the library and the U.S. Veterans Project Library, will feature Tim Wilbanks, owner of Heritage Honeybee.

The in-person presentation will be held Thursday, June 16 at 6 p.m., at the library, 209 Merchants Ave., in Fort Atkinson. The program also will be available through Zoom. To join the online meeting, visit: fortlibrary.org/usvets/. 

Wilbanks is a fifth-generation beekeeper and U.S. Veteran. He grew up in Claxton, Ga., working in his family’s commercial package and queen rearing business, The Wilbanks Apiaries, Inc. He has a first-hand understanding of the time, effort and dedication that goes into raising quality queens and producing healthy bees for all beekeepers, from hobbyists to commercial levels. He is an active member of the Wisconsin Honey Producers Association, the Iowa Honey Producers Association and the American Beekeeping Federation, the release stated.
